Ventilation in a house from SIP panels: installation methods, norms and requirements, tips from the masters. Ventilation system in a house made of sip panels Arrangement of ventilation in a house made of sip panels

For normal human activity and the operation of some equipment, any home needs an influx of fresh air and the removal of polluted air. This also applies to houses made of SIP panels. In fact, these houses need the same ventilation system as any other buildings. Ventilation in a SIP house is arranged according to the same principles and is calculated according to the same regulatory framework.

Consider the features of the device of the air exchange system in residential buildings built from SIP panels, as well as analyze the nuances of design, installation and calculation.

The need for ventilation and its features

What justifies the need for ventilation at home from SIP panels? For residential premises, it is necessary primarily for human breathing. When breathing in a calm state, a person is able to consume up to 360 liters of oxygen from the air. Also, fresh air is necessary for the operation of some equipment. For example, for boiler burners. This applies to the supply side of the ventilation system.

The need for exhaust ventilation is justified by the fact that even in residential buildings a certain amount of harmful and dangerous substances are formed that must be thrown out into the street. Unpleasant odors also need to be removed.

Features of the ventilation device in the house of SIP panels

Ventilation in SIP houses is practically no different in its design and installation principle from the same systems in brick and other buildings. The main difference is that, according to the rules for wiring in houses with wooden frames, as well as completely wooden, electrical wiring must be carried out in a fireproof design. This is achieved by the fact that the cables are mounted open way along the walls of the building, or installed in metal corrugated pipes and boxes. Since for some types of ventilation it is necessary to install electrical cables for heaters and fans, this must be taken into account.

Also, a feature of the installation is the design itself, in which ventilation in houses made of SIP panels should not violate the integrity of the panel itself. Therefore, it is no longer possible to even partially arrange ventilation ducts and pipes in the wall.

Types of ventilation in buildings made of SIP panels

As already mentioned, for private houses, ventilation is divided into two systems:

  • supply;
  • exhaust.

There is also a combined supply and exhaust ventilation system, when the same equipment is used for two branches.

Directly according to the method of bringing this air into motion, ventilation is divided into:

  • natural;
  • mechanical.

Let's consider each system in more detail.

natural ventilation

Natural ventilation for a house made of sip panels is a system in which the removal of polluted air from a building occurs naturally. For this, exhaust ventilation vertical ducts are arranged. The air is driven by the pressure difference between the indoor air and the outdoor atmosphere.

When air is removed in this way, it becomes necessary to replace it with fresh air. For this, both mechanical (supply systems and fans) and natural systems (wall and window valves) are used.

mechanical ventilation

Mechanical systems require electricity to function. They use ventilation equipment consisting of fans, air ducts, grilles, heaters and filters. A mechanical ventilation system is more expensive than a natural one, but it allows you to more accurately regulate the work and does not depend on weather conditions.

Mechanical ventilation is preferable, especially when using energy-saving and airtight windows and doors, in which the natural air supply to the room becomes more difficult.

There are also options for combining mechanical and natural systems. In this case, for example, the exhaust is built in a natural way using ventilation ducts, and the inflow is organized by a mechanical system.

Calculation and selection of equipment

Do-it-yourself ventilation in a house made of SIP panels requires careful selection of equipment and calculation. After the need for ventilation is determined, these processes can begin. Regardless of which system is used - natural or mechanical - the calculation takes place according to the same principles.

For the calculation, you must act according to the following plan:

  • determination of the area and volume of each room in the house;
  • search in regulatory documents for recommended air exchange for each room;
  • finding air exchange for each room;
  • calculation of the total air exchange for the whole house;
  • selection of equipment and its characteristics.

Air exchange calculation

For calculation engineering systems residential buildings apply SNiP 31-02-2001 " Residential buildings single-family." This document contains all the normative indicators of air exchange and the principles for calculating the ventilation system. Also, other documents can be taken into account.

According to SNiP for different rooms in the house of the room it is necessary to accept such air exchange (volume of inflow and exhaust per hour):

  • for kitchen premises - 60 m3 / h (for kitchens with gas stoves - 90 m3 / h);
  • for boiler rooms with an open burner of thermal equipment, it is necessary to ensure a multiplicity of 1.0;
  • bathrooms, bathrooms and toilets - 25 or 50 m3 / h for a combined bathroom;
  • for residential premises of bedrooms, living rooms and nurseries, it is recommended to arrange a single air exchange or at least 30 m3 / h per 1 m2 of area.

All these values are calculated for both supply and exhaust. But supply and exhaust systems do not have to be distributed in all rooms. For example, install an exhaust hood in the kitchen, toilets in the bathrooms, and an inflow in the living quarters.

Equipment selection

Before selecting equipment, it is necessary to decide on the system - it will be natural or mechanical. For natural systems, according to the parameters found, an exhaust duct is selected, which is built directly during the construction of the building, and the inflow is provided by using fresh air inflow valves in walls or windows.

Both options do not always allow you to supply the right amount of air, but it is still better than a complete lack of ventilation. As a minimum option - opening windows in the micro-ventilation mode.

With such a scheme, fresh air will enter the living space through the valves, moving further through the cracks under the doors and along the corridor, being drawn out through the exhaust grilles in the kitchens, bathrooms and toilets.

For the selection of mechanical systems, a fan and air ducts are selected according to the specified parameters of air exchange. Air ducts are calculated based on the speed of air movement in them (approximately 4-5 m / s). For this, their cross-sectional area is selected in conjunction with the volumetric air flow.

This system also includes:

  • water or electric heater, which is calculated based on the required level of air heating;
  • filter on the supply branch;
  • regulation and control systems.

After the calculation, you can proceed with the installation.

Installation of a ventilation system in a house from SIP panels

How to make ventilation in the house from SIP panels correctly and at no extra cost? In addition to competent calculation, professional installation is also required. When working, it is required to take into account all construction regulations, fire and technological requirements.

A simple option, when the system is calculated and arranged with natural supply and exhaust, requires only minor work, in which window or wall valves crash and ventilation exhaust ducts are arranged. The mechanical system is more difficult to mount.

Briefly, the stages of work can be described in the following order:

  1. First of all, it is necessary to make a calculation.
  2. For convenient operation you need to make a diagram. It indicates the required volume of supply and exhaust air in each room.
  3. Next, determine the possible location of the fans. Mechanical ventilation equipment in such houses can be arranged either in the attic or in a specially equipped room. Each option must be considered individually, based on the cost of construction and available space.
  4. After determining the location of the ventilation mechanisms, a ventilation network is laid according to the scheme. It must be diluted so that a ventilation branch with an inflow is carried out into each living room, and an exhaust hood into the bathroom, toilet, kitchen and other utility rooms. It is permissible to arrange both supply and exhaust for living quarters when using mechanical systems. When calculating and designing, it is important to observe the air balance when the supply and exhaust air throughout the house are equal.
  5. After wiring the circuit, the cross section of each section of the duct is determined. This is determined based on the amount of air that moves through it and the permissible speeds (4-5 m / s). At the ends of each branch, gratings are arranged, the cross section of which is also selected in such a way that their speed is approximately 0.4-0.5 m / s. This will avoid unnecessary noise.
  6. After the calculation and selection of equipment, they go directly to the installation. First of all, the ventilation network is bred. Boxes and pipes are best carried out in the attic, lowering the bends into each room. For air ducts, tin, plastic, flexible aluminum pipes are used.
  7. Electricity is supplied to the intended place of installation of the ventilation unit and a network of air ducts is connected.
  8. The system is being tested.
  9. Installation of gratings and other external elements is carried out after decorative finishes premises.

The system is ready for use. A well-designed ventilation system in SIP houses allows not only to supply fresh air for people and equipment, but also to avoid condensation on the windows, which often occurs in winter in houses without ventilation.

Opponents frame construction argue that such houses have poor ventilation. This is not true, because. manufacturers of houses from SIP panels provide for the wiring of engineering networks in them, including ventilation. In such houses, it is enough to have standard natural ventilation channels, which are supplemented by forced ventilation in rooms with high humidity (bathrooms and kitchen).

Why is ventilation necessary in the house?

A home is a place where people live permanently. As we breathe, exhaling carbon dioxide and consuming oxygen, the air in the premises is constantly polluted, which must be replaced with fresh air. In addition, "domestic" air pollution occurs for the following reasons:

  • constant cooking leads to evaporation;
  • oxygen is burned during the operation of electrical appliances, a fireplace or a gas stove;
  • air pollution occurs due to chemical household fumes emitted detergents, perfumes, atomizers, etc.;
  • dust is formed;
  • animal hair;
  • microbes that are constantly present in the house, especially during the illness of the household.

Only these reasons that affect the microclimate in the house are enough to constantly renew the air, and there are many more such factors, in fact.

Window fogging is one of the problems of poor ventilation.

Therefore, ventilation of a residential building made of SIP panels is so important to maintain comfortable living conditions in it. Choice various options home ventilation is influenced by such factors as the tightness of the house, its heating, seasonality of use, and finally, the wishes of the customer.

Types of ventilation:

natural ventilation

The air in this case is renewed naturally, penetrating through windows, doors, ventilation grilles. In a "Canadian" house, natural ventilation will work much better if the walls and plastic windows equipped with special supply valves.

Scheme of work supply valves on plastic windows

If they are present, there is no need to open windows, because they allow air to freely enter the room. They are mounted in the wall, under the window sill or directly into the window frame. In winter, the greatest effect is the installation of a valve under the windowsill. Thanks to the rapid heating from the radiator, fresh air begins to circulate intensively in the room.

Ventilation grilles for natural ventilation are mounted at its exits to the kitchen and bathrooms of the building. In order for air circulation to be sufficient, ventilation ducts should be laid at least 5 meters above the exit points in case of natural ventilation. However, even the best natural ventilation system in a SIP panel house can be insufficient, therefore it is often combined with forced ventilation.

Forced (mechanical) ventilation

The system works in such a way that rarefied air is forcibly formed in the premises, which is filled with clean air through special valves. For this, silent and economical equipment is used, which works automatically. kitchen hood it is not recommended to include in such a forced ventilation system. It is better to make it autonomous by equipping it with an absorption filter.

Exhaust ventilation The house is provided with a roof fan.
The kitchen hood has a separate exit to the roof

Supply and exhaust ventilation

The most common type of ventilation, with the help of which polluted air is removed from the premises and replaced with fresh air. Sometimes the air is supplied pre-cleaned and heated.

Scheme of operation of the supply and exhaust hood

Recuperative ventilation

In addition to providing the house with fresh air, such a system exchanges heat between the exhaust and intake air, saving heat and electricity. The amount of dust and noise levels are reduced, the volume of fresh air is increased much faster. The greatest effect of recuperative ventilation can be obtained in winter and summer at peak temperatures. In winter, it reduces heat loss, and in the hot months it provides coolness.

Ventilation in a house made of SIP panels - just about the complex

From the author: good afternoon, dear readers! One of the basic trends of the current suburban construction is energy saving. In order to get the desired effect, the most advanced technologies are used - innovative Construction Materials, thoughtful location of the house on the site, metal-plastic windows, thorough insulation of the roof and facade. The Canadian technology for building houses from SIP panels has successfully proved its competitiveness.

However, excellent thermal insulation at home implies the need for thoughtful. Some experts are sure that ventilation in a house made of SIP panels may be limited to natural channels throughout the house and a forced exhaust system in places of high humidity (in the bathroom and in the kitchen). Is it really? Let's try to figure it out!

The need for ventilation

"Dream House" is a cozy space, protected from the influence of negative external factors. Ideally, it should be practically airtight. This criterion primarily applies to the Canadian energy efficient home. However, a person cannot live in a sterile space, which is akin to an operating room. Naturally, in the process of life, air pollution occurs. Thus, in a private house, it is simply necessary to organize the process of exchanging “used” air for fresh air in order to avoid diseases and allergic manifestations.

The main causes of air pollution in residential buildings are:

  • household and electrical appliances “eat up” oxygen;
  • steam is generated during cooking;
  • detergents and washing powders provoke the appearance of harmful fumes;
  • dust;
  • pet hair.

These reasons are enough to take care of the problem of air purification, especially when it comes to residential buildings from SIP panels. Without a well-thought-out air exchange system, including forced ventilation, such a house turns into a stuffy box. If you just open the windows wide open, letting in oxygen from the street, then the cost of heating your home will skyrocket.

To avoid such a scenario, you need to take care of the regular supply of fresh air into the room, that is, consider a scheme for forced oxygen supply and an exhaust system.

Types of ventilation of the "Canadian" house

Choosing the type of ventilation, you should focus on the budget. For example, it can be a democratic system of several supply adaptive valves in windows or walls, which provides air flow. Forced extraction of polluted air in this case passes through the roof or wall. More expensive option - ventilation air handling units with recovery.

Let us consider in detail all the houses from SIP panels, along with their features.

natural ventilation

Natural ventilation means that air enters the room without additional equipment. In houses built Canadian technology, it is recommended to use special supply valves built into walls and windows - this will provide additional air circulation. It is quite possible that the owners of a house made of SIP panels will still have to take care of forced ventilation, since the “natural ventilation” scheme may be ineffective.

In case of insufficient ventilation naturally it is recommended to install an extract from the bathroom, toilet, kitchen. It won't allow travel unpleasant odors at home. Vapors and unwanted odors will be immediately directed to the exhaust ducts. This type of ventilation is called static.

If you have a separate bathroom, then there are three air ducts in the house, if you have a merged one, then two. How to arrange in such cases ventilation outlets on the roof? You should not make separate holes for each channel, it is better to combine them into a common pipe just before going to the roof.

When the hood is ready, it is important to take care of the flow of fresh air into the living quarters. There are several effective ventilation system designs . Air can constantly enter the house as follows:

  • by gravity, we are talking about the mode of micro-ventilation of windows;
  • through supply valves (in walls, windows);
  • through a separate inlet. There are options with air filtration and heating, as well as air distribution over several rooms.

Features of static ventilation

Before proceeding with the installation of supply valves, we recommend that you pay attention to some important nuances organization of effective ventilation of the dwelling from SIP panels:

  • given that such houses are rarely built above two floors, it is important to take care of the mechanical exhaust of the exhaust air. Otherwise, the draft in the ventilation system will simply not be enough;
  • take care of the soundproofing of the exhaust fan, as the sound in houses from SIP panels spreads instantly;
  • do not use for ventilation plastic pipes because they accumulate static electricity and attract dust. The best option- a design from galvanized steel;
  • it is impossible to lay vertical air ducts in the walls of SIP panels, so the latter are mounted in an open form, and then decorated or covered with panels;
  • V small rooms you need to carefully choose a place for mounting ventilation valves. Remember that cold air that enters the room from the outside needs to be mixed with warm air. Therefore, if you mount the valve in close proximity to bed you will feel discomfort in winter.

Forced ventilation (mechanical)

This ventilation system uses special valves that bring clean air into the room. In such cases, the hood should be made autonomous. To date, several options for mechanical ventilation are used to ventilate houses made of SIP panels:

  • supply;
  • supply air with VAV function;
  • supply and exhaust;
  • supply and exhaust with heat recovery.

This video is about the supply and exhaust ventilation system:

What is the difference between these ventilation systems? In short, the aforementioned ventilation is different basic elements designs, but they have the same scheme of work - forcing fresh air and removing polluted air using exhaust ventilation ducts.

Supply ventilation is considered one of the most economical. Fresh air is injected into the house and through the ventilation system and displaces the exhaust air through the channels in the bathrooms and in the kitchen.

Source: 1poclimaty.ru

Supply ventilation with VAV function or ventilation on demand: the principle of operation of this type of system is similar to the previous one, but the residents of the house can optionally turn it off in some rooms or on the entire floor. Let's say you spend time during the day on the first floor - this means that you do not need intensive air supply on the second floor. This approach to creating a healthy microclimate in the house allows you to save a lot on electricity and gas.

Supply and exhaust ventilation is used in houses with weak draft. Fresh air is both forced in and forced out. Sometimes clean air is heated when it is supplied. This solution involves the laying of air ducts (supply and exhaust ducts). From the point of view of sanitary standards, ventilation should provide from 20 to 60 cubic meters. m. of air per person per hour. Perfect option- this is a complete change of the entire volume of air in the room within an hour. The air handling unit can be placed in a technical room, for example, in a boiler room, or in a bathroom.

Supply and exhaust ventilation with heat recovery is chosen by the owners of houses made of SIP panels, who want to save a lot on energy. Polluted air is sucked out through the heat exchanger. This device makes it possible to heat the incoming clean air with the help of energy from the exhaust air. This type of ventilation is worth paying attention to if the house does not have enough energy to heat the air coming from outside. Supply and exhaust ventilation with heat recovery works best during the cold season, as well as during the peak of the summer heat. In winter, it reduces heat loss, and in summer it gives coolness.

I would like to draw attention to such a local supply and exhaust unit as a breather. They are mounted on the walls in those rooms where it is necessary to ensure effective air exchange. The breather is capable of pumping up to 100 cubic meters of air per hour in two directions. According to sanitary criteria for a family of 3-4 people, the air consumption rate is 200 cubic meters. m. That is, in the house where such a family lives, you need to place 2 breathers.

This video is about the supply and exhaust ventilation system:

What is the difference between these ventilation systems? In short, the aforementioned ventilation differs in basic structural elements, but their operation scheme is the same - fresh air is injected and polluted air is removed using exhaust ventilation ducts.

Supply ventilation is considered one of the most economical. Clean air is forced into the house and through the ventilation system and displaces the exhaust air through the channels in the bathrooms and in the kitchen.

In any home, the ventilation system is designed not only to provide air convection, but also to remove moisture that accumulates inside the room. This increases the thermal resistance of the walls and prolongs their service life. Ventilation is provided for even at the design stage of the house and is laid during its construction or installed in already erected buildings.

Types of ventilation for a frame house

There are three types of ventilation in a house made of SIP panels:

  • natural;
  • forced;
  • combined.

The method of air exchange of a panel house is determined depending on the area of \u200b\u200bthe room, the number of residents and the budget of the owners. Most manufacturers of frame houses design the building in such a way that the owner can lay one or another ventilation system after construction.

Most air exchange systems are based on the once-through principle. It provides for the removal of superheated air through exhaust ducts. However, with it, most of the heat is removed from the room, which makes such a system energy-consuming.

To reduce heat loss to a minimum, it is necessary to install recuperators in panel-type houses. Thermal fans remove the exhaust air from the room, mix it with clean air, and during the convection process heat it up to room temperature. Then they are returned to the room. This method of ventilation significantly reduces the cost of subsequent heating of the house.

Features of natural air exchange in panel houses

Natural ventilation in houses made of SIP panels involves the supply of fresh air through cracks and gaps formed as a result of loose fixation of windows, doors, floors or through exhaust channels. However, this type of house is different in that the structure does not provide for the presence of slots, holes, etc. SIP panels are completely airtight.

The device of natural ventilation implies the mandatory presence of exhaust ducts in the bathrooms and the kitchen, which exit through the roof. To do this, install pipes made of plastic or galvanized steel. The first material is cheaper, but it strongly attracts dust, which reduces the draft of the channel. Therefore, pipes made of galvanized steel are more often chosen.

To ensure the supply of fresh air and increase draft in walls or windows, supply valves are installed. The best location is considered to be a hole above the heating boiler, since cold air, when it enters the room, is heated by the operation of the device. The valve should be mounted in such a way that air circulates inside the building towards the kitchen and bathrooms.

For supply valves use pipes from:

  • plastic;
  • asbestos cement.

Experts recommend choosing products from asbestos cement. It is not recommended to mount metal pipes, because they reduce the thermal insulation of the walls and increase the noise load. The disadvantage of valves is the violation of the integrity of the sound insulation of the walls. If the building is located in a noisy place, supply valves must be discarded. This type of ventilation does not have much power, but it can be done by hand and is cheaper compared to other types.

Characteristics of forced ventilation for a frame house

Forced from SIP panels provides high-quality air convection. In this case, special mechanical devices with a soundproof housing are used. A simple option counts forced ventilation, in which the exhaust air is removed through the channels by forcing fresh air into the room. If necessary, it is possible to supply only certain areas of the building. If not only air is forced in, but air is also removed, this method is a supply and exhaust.

The most expensive is ventilation with heat recovery. To save on heating, the room already receives warm air. It warms up due to the outgoing flow. This system is suitable for houses with a large area. In small buildings, heat recovery is considered redundant because the building materials used have low thermal conductivity.

The scheme of operation of forced ventilation looks like this:

Description of mixed air exchange

Most often used mixed. It allows you to provide high-quality air exchange and air circulation inside the room. This type is less energy intensive than forced system. In this case, the air is removed from the building through the ventilation ducts.

Their number and size are selected depending on the dimensions of the building. Experts recommend installing 6-8 channels for every 180-200 m². Pipes are selected from asbestos cement or PVC. Their connections form a collector for air masses.

A fan is installed on the finished structure. Its power will determine the thrust of the entire system. The device can be mechanical or automatic. The operation of the latter is regulated by humidity sensors that are installed in all rooms of the building. The fan power should be calculated by specialists, since it is extremely difficult to determine this parameter correctly on your own.

Troubleshooting

It is possible to determine a ventilation malfunction in SIP houses if the following moments are observed:

  • in some rooms or in the whole house the air is stale, heavy, there is little oxygen and it is difficult to breathe;
  • fungus forms in the kitchen and bathroom;
  • water vapor appears on the windows.

In the first case, most likely there is insufficient fan power or weak draft if a natural type of air exchange is used. It may also be necessary to clean the ventilation ducts. In each case, you should turn to specialists for help, since it is difficult to do the cleaning yourself or calculate the correct power. If a fungus forms or the windows fog up, then the ventilation cannot cope with the removal of moisture from the room.

You can install ventilation systems yourself. But specialists should deal with design and calculations, since it is difficult to determine all the parameters without knowledge.
