Hot fruit and berry teas are an ideal drink for the cold season. Firstly, they warm up quickly. Secondly, they contain a lot of vitamins and minerals, which are so necessary for us in the absence of fresh seasonal fruits and herbs. Thirdly, they are very tasty and can be prepared in a matter of minutes. Much faster than a smoothie or freshly squeezed juice. And finally, by adding a couple of spoons of rum or cognac to this tea, you will get a tasty and fragrant cocktail for adults.

Fruit and berry teas are prepared in different ways, depending on what is the basis of the drink. If it is water, then just pour boiling water over the ingredients, stir, cover with a lid and leave to brew for 5-7 minutes. If you are preparing tea based on fruit juice, you will have to heat it. The main thing is to do this over low heat and make sure that the juice does not boil, otherwise it may curdle or simply lose its taste and most of the vitamins. If you add a sweetener, simply heat the juice over low heat until the sugar or honey dissolves.

It is best to brew and serve such bright and beautiful tea in a transparent glass teapot. If the ingredients include berries with grains (for example, sea buckthorn) or you add loose leaf tea, then you can use a French press so that the drink gets into the cup pre-strained. Tea with apple, pear or orange can be brewed in a large mug, from which you can drink it. Pieces of fruit or berries will be an additional bonus - they can be eaten with a spoon.

Autumn is knocking on the windows more and more insistently, and the first cold weather with gloomy rains is already bringing melancholy. The best cure for it is a cup of hot aromatic tea. But not simple, but with additives.

Breath of Summer

Even the most ordinary black tea can be transformed if you choose bright additives for it. What does tea come with? Mint has gained special love with its subtle, refreshing aroma. Pour 3 tbsp into a teapot. l. black tea, add 20 g of raisins, 4 dried apricots and prunes, pour the mixture with a liter of boiling water. Wrap the kettle with a towel and steep its contents for 20 minutes. Place 3-4 sprigs of fresh mint and a slice of dried orange or lemon at the bottom of the cup. Pour tea with dried fruits over them and let them brew for another 2-3 minutes. If your home sweet tooth finds the drink sour, add a couple of spoons of honey. Tea with mint perfectly relaxes and gives deep, restful sleep.

Tea as medicine

Thyme, or thyme, is an extremely useful and fragrant addition to tea, giving it a unique note. To prepare tea, mix 2-3 tbsp. l. black tea, 1 tsp. dry thyme leaves and 5-6 dried flowers. Pour the mixture with a liter of boiling water and leave for 10 minutes. If you suffer from frequent headaches, take green tea instead of black tea. Thyme goes well with lemon balm, cloves, St. John's wort, currants and lingonberries. Therefore, every day you can delight your loved ones with different drinks with a wonderful bouquet of aromas. What adds value to them is that thyme serves as a good preventative against colds.

Drink for the mind

In Rus', like nowhere else, they knew a lot about herbal additives in tea. Our ancestors especially revered St. John's wort, which they stored in large quantities for the winter. In the autumn, it is best to warm up with an infusion of St. John's wort with jam. It can also be brewed with regular tea. To do this, mix 2 tbsp. l. black or green tea to your taste and St. John's wort itself, pour them with a liter of boiling water and leave for 5 minutes. Then dissolve 3 tbsp in tea. l. apricot jam and let sit for another 2-3 minutes. This drink warms you up well and energizes you. It will be especially useful for schoolchildren, since St. John's wort helps to better cope with mental stress.

Currant positive

Blackcurrant is another popular type of supplement. By the way, you can use both leaves and berries in recipes. Rub ½ cup of currants through a sieve and squeeze out the juice. Pound the remaining pulp in a mortar with 2-3 sprigs of mint and the same amount of rosemary. Dried herbs will also work. Brew a mixture of 2 tsp in a liter of boiling water. green or white tea, 1 tsp. currant leaves and berry mass. Infuse the drink for 15 minutes, strain, pour into cups and add 1 tbsp to each. l. berry juice, you can also add a few fresh berries. This is the best remedy for the incipient blues, which will instantly cheer you and your loved ones up.

Wild but wholesome

Do-it-yourself berry tea additives are no less useful than herbal ones. In this sense, the wild rose, or wild rose, has no equal. Lightly knead 100 g of fresh rose hips, fill them with a liter of hot water and simmer in a water bath for 15 minutes. Then keep the broth in a thermos for 10–12 hours. Remember, the longer the berries are infused, the more valuable properties they will impart to the drink. Using the same principle, tea is brewed from dry berries, first grinding them in a coffee grinder. Ready rosehip tea can be mixed with regular black or green tea. For the most picky gourmets, add a pinch of sage, nutmeg or star anise to the drink.

Sweet memories

Cranberries are rightfully called a vitamin champion. In terms of reserves of antioxidants and vitamin C, it will give odds to many of its counterparts. In addition, a tea recipe with the addition of cranberries perfectly strengthens the immune system. Combine 2 tbsp in a blender bowl. l. berries, 5 g of grated ginger root and half a lemon, cut into slices. Beat all ingredients into a homogeneous paste and mix with 4 tsp. honey Pour boiling water over the cranberry mixture, bring it to a boil and leave for 30–40 minutes. Strain the infusion, mix it with ready-made black tea in equal proportions and pour into cups. With such a drink it will be especially pleasant to remember the bright moments of summer in a warm family circle.

Raspberry immunity

Raspberries can also, without a doubt, be considered a useful additive in. Both fresh and frozen berries, carefully prepared jam and, of course, leaves are used. Mix 2 tbsp in a teapot. l. black tea, 3-4 raspberry and black currant leaves, pour a liter of boiling water over them and leave for 15 minutes. Puree 100 g of fresh or defrosted raspberries in a blender; if necessary, add 2 tsp. Sahara. Place 2-3 tsp into cups. raspberry puree and pour hot tea over it. If you have fresh berries on hand, you can also add them to tea. Place a bowl of raspberry jam next to your irrepressible sweet tooth, just in case. Such a treat will protect against any autumn ailments better than any medicine.
